The Art of Judy Hoiness

Explorative usage of watercolor and acrylic paint on paper, canvas and recycled cloth, combined with Imaginative design elements, contribute to the artist’s style, which reveals simplified and abstracted shapes played against areas of more representational imagery.  Her paintings and textile works are a personal statement about wildlife and wild places in Oregon and in The Northern Great Basin.

Judy has lived and worked in Bend, Oregon for over 50 years.  Her work is often descibed as abstract landscapes that  often incorporates caligaraphic marks, collage and mixed media.
